The Dining Services Team at Givens Estates, a nationally recognized nonprofit life plan community (continuing care retirement community), is hiring a part-time Chef de Partie/Line Cook for our brand new dining venues, Terrene & The Social Brew. It offers a full-service restaurant featuring a Jade French cooking suite and includes an emersion circulator, a Plancha, bar Grill, and a built-in fryer. 

We are a creative team passionate about using fresh, local, and sustainable products to bring high-quality food to our community. Some of our partnerships include Carolina Bison in Leicester, Dry Ridge Farms in Mars Hill, Sunburst trout farms in Canton, & Joey’s Bagels in Hendersonville. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborating with the executive sous chef regarding recipe creation
  • Improving the fine dining experience of residents
  • Fulfilling catering orders for events on campus

Added plus if the candidate has 3-5 years of experience working in a fine/casual dining environment.

Compensation: $16.50 – $18.50 per hour based on skills & experience, plus our benefits package!
