Support Services Assistant: Givens Estates Health Center

Givens Estates Health Center is seeking a full-time Support Services Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity for an organized, caring, observant professional to provide administrative support for the Givens Estates Health Center. This position works closely with all other departments in order to provide the best possible care and service for residents. ​​​​​

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform Screening and Reception duties at Givens Estates Health Center
  • Assist with supervision of residents and visitors in common areas
  • Prioritize, organize and manage multiple projects and tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Maintain employee paperwork and scheduling
  • Frequent collaboration with Financial Operations regarding billing, transportation logs, and invoices
  • Maintain and Complete communication forms
  • Distribute mail
  • Maintain resident appointments

Qualified candidates will have:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent; however, two to four years of college are preferred
  • Working knowledge of computer systems and software packages and be proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Publisher as well as have the ability to learn MatrixCare and Sharepoint workflows
  • Prior secretarial/bookkeeping experience in a health care setting
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology by training and/or experience
  • Show initiative within a team-oriented framework and be capable of working independently with minimal supervision
  • Skills needed to promote positive public relations with families, visitors, team members, and professionals
