Givens Gerber Park is actively seeking a Community Engagement Coordinator to join our team in supporting 262 senior/disabled households of low and moderate income. Givens Gerber Park provides a service enriched community to help residents age well in place. The Community Engagement Coordinator is a key part of the team providing hospitality in the Café; general oversight for the Café and liaison with the food service provider; and planning, coordinating, and directing resident activities and programming in cooperation with the Resident Services Coordinator and other staff.

QUALIFICATIONS: The preferred candidate will have experience working with senior/disabled population and experience in hospitality and in food service. The preferred candidate should possess a good understanding of conditions related to aging, cognitive decline, and mental health issues. Ability to evaluate and develop menus is preferred. The preferred candidate will possess knowledge, skills and abilities that include (but are not limited to) exceptional interpersonal skills; ability to work in a fast paced environment; excellent verbal and written communication skills; above average administrative/office skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, point of sale systems, and the ability to learn various computer software programs; above average troubleshooting, conceptual and decision making skills; and the ability to multi-task all while interacting with residents, team members, and guests with a strong positive attitude and disposition. A related Bachelor’s Degree in Food Services, Hospitality, Social Services, Human Services, or other related degree is highly preferred.
