The primary purpose of this position, under the supervision and/or direction of the Health Services Director, is to initiate, plan, develop, organize, coordinate, and present clinical education programs for Givens Highland Farms clinical staff and non-clinical staff. Programs will be geared toward staff clinical education that will assist Givens Highland Farms to maintain compliance with all current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern the facility. This team member will collaborate with the Health Services Director, the Director of Nursing, the Home Care Coordinator, the Training and Development Coordinator, and other leadership teams to understand training needs and develop accordingly, from initiation to presentation. It is also the responsibility of this individual to plan and conduct the nursing department new employee orientation as well as monitor and maintain the nursing department mentor programs. This team member will also provide / coordinate new hire TB screening, annual flu immunizations, and Hepatitis B immunization offerings. This individual would participate in the nursing administration call rotation. Candidate must be currently licensed in the State of North Carolina as an RN; must have current CPR certification or obtain within 3 months; and previous training experience in home health/geriatrics/long-term care is desired, while not required. Previous experience developing educational programs, ability to translate complex ideas, and strong written and computer skills is preferred. The ability to relate to non-nursing staff in broader educational goals related to facility licensure and regulations is essential.
