The primary purpose of this position, under the supervision and/or direction of the Health Services Director, is to assure that the overall organization and management of nursing services in the Health Care Center are following nursing compliance with licensure, certification, OSHA, CDC regulations and others as they become applicable. This team member will be responsible for the coordination of medical policies and services affecting our Life Plan Community. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related, or is an essential function of the position.
Candidate must have an unencumbered North Carolina or reciprocal licensure, with a minimum of two years of nursing experience. A minimum of one year in a management capacity in a hospital or long-term care facility and the ability to understand and demonstrate proven success with departmental goals, including budgetary responsibility, census adjusted staffing / scheduling, supply chain management, among others is highly desired. Experience team-building, coaching, counseling, hiring, and being on administrative call to meet staff needs on a 24-hour basis is essential. Applicant must also have a comprehensive understanding of recent regulatory changes and the ability to implement a robust QAPI model of department oversight.
